The Identity and Equity Workshop

We don’t have to be the same to succeed together.

An invitational workshop that helps your team explore who they are, how they show up, and how to build more equitable spaces where everyone can thrive.
The Challenge

We Don’t All Start From the Same Place. But We Can Move Forward Together.

Why does identity matter at work?

We all bring our full selves to work—whether we name it or not. Ignoring identity means missing out on the perspectives, strengths, and lived experiences that help teams thrive.

Why isn’t inclusion enough?

Inclusion gets people in the room. Equity ensures they can succeed once they’re there. It’s not about treating everyone the same—it’s about meeting people where they are to get them to their highest potential.

What’s the cost of avoiding this conversation?

Avoidance doesn’t preserve unity—it erodes it. When equity conversations are skipped, trust thins out, turnover goes up, and real collaboration stalls. But when teams learn to see each other more fully, designing for outcomes and not just optics, everyone benefits.

Our Solution

Equity That Starts With Identity.

Our Identity and Equity workshop helps your team begin with what’s most human: who we are. From there, we build toward how we work, how we support one another, and how we lead in meaningful, sustainable ways. This isn’t about checking boxes—it’s about expanding possibilities.

We’ll explore three core areas:

  • Identity: Understanding the visible and invisible parts of who we are and how those identities shape our experience at work.
  • Experience: Reflecting on the ways we’ve been included or overlooked, and how those stories inform our sense of belonging.
  • Outcomes: Moving from surviving to thriving - creating systems, strategies, and support that empower all team members.
What to expect
Engaging and Responsive Facilitation
We approach this conversation with care, courage, and deep respect for lived experience. The space is structured, but never rigid—allowing room for stories, questions, and the honest tensions that often emerge when we talk about identity and equity. In general, though, we'll split our time evenly between the three sections, learning a framework or tool to help participants make sense of the idea, and holding space for discussion about it.
Practical Tools and Takeaways
Participants will receive frameworks for understanding identity and equity in context, group prompts for team dialogue, and take-home resources to continue the conversation. Optional pre-work is available to help set the tone and mindset for the session.
Flexible Time Commitment
This workshop is typically offered as a 1.5 to 3-hour session, depending on your goals and group dynamics. Deeper exploration often leads to deeper insight—and deeper change—but we can tailor the structure to meet your moment.
